The Student Ministry at FBC Dickinson is committed to making active followers of the Lord Jesus. We exist to serve others and bring glory to the Glorious One!

Joey Maxie

Minister to Students

Thanks for checking out our new webpage! We are currently in the procees of adding video, pics, info, and much more to make it as user friendly as possible. This page is where you can be introduced to our student ministry, meet our awesome youth workers, and be informed as to what is going on in our student ministry! Feel free to call Joey at the church, his cell (830-214-4804 this will change when we get moved in), or facebook (this pic links to my page by the way) me. YOUTH WORKERS! Ernie Murrie

Ernie is the patriarch of the student ministry. He is our Bible study director and makes sure we all get to where we need to go. He is our designated alarm clock for youth camp, and loves to help with the students. He also helps out a lot around the church with special projects. The Murrie van is the coveted place to ride on the way to Pineywoods.

The Farmer's

Cliff and Kari Farmer are our Senior Bible study leaders. They have 2 college students of their own (Chase and Hannah). Kari is an avid photographer and Cliff is a gearhead that works at NASA as an engineer. He also helps lead worship in the morning service.

The Whitten's

Breck and Terri are the Junior class teachers. They have four daughters (Lauren 19, Jessica  a senior, Stephanie a sophomore, and Christina a freshman). Terri is the bass guitarist for the Refugees, our student led worship band. Both Breck and Terri help lead worship on Sunday morning.

The Fletcher's

Chad and Vicki. Vicki teaches our younger girls Bible study and has the loudest classroom you will ever see. Come check her picture of her and Michael Jackson (yes THE Michael Jackson) hanging out. Chad's claim to fame is being Vicki's husband, but he also helps with youth camp and local work projects. They have two daughters Emileigh (freshman), and Cassidy (fifth grader). 

Chad Norwood

Chad grew up in our student ministry and now is serving the Lord by serving students. He teaches the Junior High Boys class on Sunday morning and is pursuing a degree from U of H. He also prides himself on his ridiculously long tongue. Chad is currently away from us in Costa Rica taking a summer of Spanish in an immersion class. Pray for him as he is away for 12 weeks because he could not even order a chimichanga when he left.
